The Horticultural Centre was established within the 18th century walled garden that once supplied fruit and vegetables for the whole estate.
The brick walls create a warm micro climate for the cultivation of crops and where used for supporting fruit and climbing plants.

Our staff now grow plants and flowers for the City's displays and for sale to the public, there are also demonstration gardens open to the public all year round and a base for the Friends of Heaton Park who hold regular coffee mornings.
